Advanced Presentation Skills Workshop - Christchurch

Polished Presenter (4 hour workshop)
Cath has distilled her 2-day course into an intense 4-hour workshop so you can learn how to be a great presenter much quicker! Best of all, you’ll realise that by working on just a handful of points specific to your needs will massively raise your game.
  1. Date: 21 August 2013
  2. Time: 9.30-2pm (with 30 mins for lunch)
  3. Venue: to be agreed - could be Westpac Hub, or for a small group size could even be someone's meeting room6011
  4. Ideal group size: 5-10
  5. Cost: $200.00 + GST per person


Every speech should “ARM” the audience, achieving:

  1. Attention – get every person listening
  2. Retention – make sure they remember your message
  3. Mention – get them talking about you, your business or service ;)


In this practical session, you will work on some or all of the following areas based on the group’s requirements:

  1. Physiology – stance, gestures, facial expression
  2. Tonality – pace, vocal variation, command and credibility
  3. Language – imagery, influential patterns, learning styles
  4. Engagement – props and materials
  5. Emotional appeal and authenticity
  6. Structure and recall
  7. Audience management


This workshop is designed for a small group. Before the workshop you will be asked what you most want to learn and your reasons for wanting to improve you’re speaking. Based on this feedback, the material will be tailored to the group’s objectives. During the workshop you will practice bite-sized pieces in a flexible, fun, safe environment. Whatever your reasons for attending, you will leave with more confidence in your ability to connect and communicate, influence and inspire. By learning to critique other against a 20-point criteria sheet, you will also learn to evaluate your own performance. At the end of the workshop, leave with a practice plan to continue your learning.
